The St. Andrew Tuesday, October 8th, 2019. Please join me in welcoming both Mrs. Sonia Pilon, the soon to be teacher of the OCSB system Primary Language Class here at St. Andrew. Mrs. Pilon has been teaching this class for almost a decade at another OCSB school, St. Mary’s. Now, she joins our team and so will 18 other students. There will be 10 new primary students who will join us in the morning half of the day and 8 for the afternoon blocks of the school day.
These wonderful kiddos will be arriving to and departing from our school in OSTA Special Transportation at the same time as bus arrivals and dismissals. In saying this, it is very important for the St. Andrew community to do the following:
PARK ONLY BEHIND OSTA BUSES AND STUDENT TRANSPORTATION: There will be a pylon to mark the location in which you must park behind, starting on Monday, October 7th, 2019. ADOPT A KISS & RIDE APPROACH to drop-off starting on Monday, October 7th, 2019. At this time, we will have our CAA foot patrolers out in the front of the school to assist students on the sidewalk and guide them to our school yard. Parents only need to pull in to the sidewalk, kiss and say good-bye to their children in order to keep the flow of cars running efficiently and safely. If you insist on parking as opposed to a Kiss and Ride approach to drop-off, then you must park either safely in the parking lot or on Cresthaven Drive. Parents who drop-off for Crestway Childcare must enter the parking lot or use Cresthaven Drive when dropping off or picking up their children during the hours of 8:45-9:15a.m.
The St. Andrew educational team truly appreciate your support with student drop-off and pick-up. All implemented expectations are put in place to ensure the safety of all of our students, which is always a top priority for all of us. | Terry Fox Launch
The Terry Fox Run will be held on Friday, October 18th, rain or shine. As a reward for attaining our goal of $4, 000, chosen educators will be wrapped with toilet paper at the end of the run. The two students in your classes who raise the most money will have the privilege of wrapping an educator in toilet paper.
Terry Fox pledge forms went home this past week. | Reminders:
